How do I start a night?

On the Tonight screen, slide the moon up. Put your iPhone near the bed, plugged in, microphone facing you. To end the night, hold Galuma or tap “I'm up” when you wake.

Will the alarm ring if the app is closed?

Yes. Galuma schedules a system alarm that rings even if the app is closed or your iPhone is on silent. Allow Galuma's alarms in Settings > Galuma.

What is the wake-up window?

You choose the time you need to be up. Galuma wakes you in the minutes before it (30 minutes for free, 10 to 45 with Premium), when your sleep is lightest. At the latest, it rings at your time.

I can barely hear the sleep sound

Turn up your iPhone's volume before raising the moon, and check that no Bluetooth device is connected.

Anti-scroll doesn't block my apps

On Tonight, open Your alarm (on the right): turn on anti-scroll, allow Screen Time, then choose your apps. The block starts when you tap “I'm up” and lifts by itself when the countdown ends. Anti-scroll is part of Premium.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. Your iPhone is enough. With an Apple Watch, you can raise the moon from your wrist and Galuma refines your sleep stages.

Does it work if I share my bed?

Yes. Turn on “I share my bed” in Me: Galuma becomes less sensitive to the other person's sounds. Put your iPhone on your side of the bed.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Galuma. Your subscription stays active until the end of the paid period. To recover a purchase on a new iPhone: Me > Restore purchases.

Can Galuma detect sleep apnea?

No. Galuma is not a medical device and does not diagnose anything. If you snore loudly, wake up tired or have pauses in your breathing, talk to a doctor.
